Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw
With the fifth generation of the De Vries family working at the yard in Aalsmeer, the company founded in 1906 by C.J.W. de Vries has come a long way. One of the founder members of Feadship in 1949, De Vries Scheepsbouw received the ‘royal’ designation in 2006 – and has chosen to use the Dutch version 'koninklijke' in its name. Spread across some 6000 square metres on a location just minutes from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, the yard’s impressive facilities include two dry docks and a slipway. Around 390 highly skilled craftsmen are responsible for the launching of an average of two Feadships a year with a beam of up to 15 metres.
